Having the most amazing body you can imagine is possible. Of course it takes work, dedication and focus (though maybe not as much as you think), but it also requires having the right mindset and vision that what you're doing is going to get you to your goals.
Think about the attitudes you currently have about bodybuilding and weight lifting. You probably think that it's really hard to get the body you want, that you'll have to spend hours at the gym every day and hundreds of dollars a month on supplements to get the hard body you desire.
You probably also think that you'll have to be on a really strict diet of nothing but eggs and steroids in order to get the look you want.
The truth is, getting a great body doesn't have to be a full-time job, or even that difficult. A big part of your success in a weight training program comes from the attitude that you bring to it.
I'm not going to say that thinking good thoughts will take you from
flabby to fabulous. It's not possible to imagine your way to a hot body without actually lifting some weights, too. But you do have to believe that it's possible for you to have the body you desire, and you have to be able to put a clear picture in your mind of how you're going to look and feel when you reach your goal.
Spending some time each day thinking about how you're going to look and feel will keep you motivated on those days you don't really want to hit the gym. It may seem a little silly, but go ahead and cut out pictures of the way you want to look from magazines and post them around your house. Cut out a picture of your head, put it on one of these bodies and put in on the refrigerator or next to your gym bag. Look at them as often as you can throughout the day.
Remembering what you're working for and really seeing yourself getting the results you want will keep you pumped to stay with the program, which will get you results even faster than you could have imagined.
The alternative is working through a program but not really believing it's going to work for you. Maybe you've done something similar before and you couldn't stick with it or it didn't work out, so you're convinced the same thing is going to happen this time around.
You know what? With that kind of attitude, it will. You're just setting yourself up to fail. Instead, think positively and you're sure to see positive results.
